Jau (barley) holds great significance in puja rituals. It symbolizes prosperity, purity, and positivity. In havan, jau is offered to the sacred fire for blessings. It is also used in Navgrah puja, especially for Shani and Mangal dosha remedies. During religious ceremonies, barley grains are soaked and sprouted as a sign of growth and good fortune. It is often placed on Kalash or mixed with water for purification.
