Description

Kesar (saffron) holds great significance in puja due to its purity, fragrance, and divine energy. It is used in abhishek by mixing it with milk or water to anoint deities, especially Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi, and Lord Shiva. Kesar is also added to tilak and applied on the forehead as a mark of devotion and blessings. It is often mixed in prasad, Panchamrit, and charanamrit, enhancing their sanctity and offering a divine aroma. In havan, a small amount of kesar is added to samagri for purity and auspiciousness. It is also offered in special rituals to attract prosperity, health, and spiritual growth.
